Setting Up Wind-parking Tilt Sensors

NOTE; this and all other wind parking info pages are as yet incomplete. I will be updating info as I think of, or am made aware of more info needed. DIRECTIONAL WIND PARKING; I have been asked already can I make directional parking sensors. The answer is yes, but this is a long way off being achieved as yet. If you think of anything I could, or should add to these instructions, please feel free to email dave@axetracka.com and tell me.

After setting everything in place on your tracker, follow these few simple tips to set-up and use the sensor controller
As always, it is best to manually drive the tracker close to the suns position before going to auto-tracking. But before this, set the tracker in your preferred parking position. This is where you want it to stop when high wind sets the auto-parking into motion.
Remember, this is a "Prevailing" wind parking system. This means it will not park depending on wind direction. So you need to set the tilt sensors to park either in the flat, for dual axis, or slightly facing the direction of your prevailing wind on dual or single axis.
There will be a red Push-Switch on all sensors for testing the parking. if the sensors are in normal auto-track mode you simply push the red button to force it to park. HOWEVER; if you have had it in park from testing, the sensor will have gone into a 30 minute sleep mode, so it will NOT resume auto tracking until 30 minutes have expired, or you can turn the main switch off and back on again to deactivate the sleep mode.
If the tracker is parked and you switch to manual tracking, this will automatically turn sleep mode off.
All sensors will have the Anemometer pulse input set to approximately 25MPH or around 40KPH.
Where ever you set the tilt sensors for wind parking, this is where the tracker will park at night also. it will sense sunrise and return to full east shortly after sunrise. In testing, by myself and a couple lucky customers who are testing them also, we have all found they resume tracking within 15-30 minutes of sunrise.

Dual axis tilt sensors will e on the one pcb, in kits form, or in one box if ordered as a boxed sensor.
